At the time of this story being written and published, we’re about 24 hours from knowing what the result of the Philadelphia Eagles‘ game versus the Detroit Lions winds up being.

The Eagles have already dropped the familiar clips of some of the team’s most popular players boarding a plane for the Motor City. The familiar ‘the game begins in 24 hours’ post has already been dropped and shared by legions of Birds fans on all of the social media channels.

Take a look at the highlights:

These Birds work around the clock though. Less than 24 hours from kickoff of Week 8’s game some expected news came in terms of the roster.

Philadelphia Eagles announce roster moves, including activation and two promotions.

According to Chris McPherson from the Eagles’ official website, the Philadelphia Eagles have announced a few roster moves, some of which were expected.

The Eagles have placed running back Miles Sanders on the team’s injured reserve thanks to the ankle injury he suffered during Week 7’s loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. They’ve activated second-year safety K’Von Wallace from the injured reserve.

As you know, minus Sanders, the Eagles only had two other running backs on the active roster all season (Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell). Jason Huntley and Jordan Howard were on the scout team. That is until now.

Bold predictions for Week 8. light. Trending

Philly will elevate running back Howard to the active roster for Week 8’s game (and probably longer). Tight end Richard Rodgers has been activated from the practice squad as well for week 8.

We’ll see how much Howard plays. He seems to have declined since his 2019 injury which is how a former Pro Bowl nod (2016) sits on a practice squad without being touched. Rodgers played seven offensive snaps in Week 7 versus the Raiders. We’ll have to wait and see if he sees any action in Week 8.
