Week 9, or ‘Los Angeles Chargers’ Week began in a manner that the Philadelphia Eagles have grown unaccustomed to over the past two seasons, with an opportunity to win a second-straight game. As has been the case with just about every regular-season campaign since 2017, this is a team that has dealt with a few nicks and bruises, but 2021 has been different.
Yeah, they’ve got guys on the injured reserve. Who doesn’t right? But, doesn’t it seem as though this is the healthiest that this team has been this late in the season in quite some time?
Much of the attention leading up to Round 9 has been on second-year wideout Jalen Reagor. He injured his ankle early in Week 8’s victory over the Detroit Lions, left on a cart, and didn’t return.
Reagor was among four other Philadelphia Eagles that didn’t participate in practice on Wednesday. The other three were JJ Arcega-Whiteside, Fletcher Cox, and Javon Hargrave. All, minus JJAW, returned to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday. Arcega-Whiteside remained out of practice on Friday and is out of Week 9’s game, but that’s the only inactive that the Eagles have reported at the moment.

One might gather that Kary Vincent Jr., who just arrived on Wednesday, will more than likely be scratched from the lineup. On the L.A. Chargers’ side, both of their starting cornerbacks are out, Michael Davis (hamstring) and Asante Samuel Jr. (concussion). Running back Justin Jackson is out with a quadriceps injury. Safety Alohi Gilman is doubtful due to issues with his ankle.
The Philadelphia Eagles’ final inactive report will be released 90 minutes before kickoff. Bookmark this one, and watch the space below as we will update this post as soon as we get the information.
