Philadelphia Eagles top 3 concerns as Week 10 game vs Broncos nears
3. The Philadelphia Eagles don’t have a plan for the rest of this season or any other season.
So, here we are. The Philadelphia Eagles have a quarterback they don’t seem to want, a head coach that no one wanted, and a team and situation that no attractive head coach or coach in waiting seems to want to inherit.
The owner is meddlesome. The vice president/general manager is power-hungry and a dictator. The team is seemingly void of talent and/or depth in just about every position on the roster.
Many of the veterans are on the downside of great careers or simply past their primes, and most of the young guys that they’ve drafted or acquired haven’t matured or developed to a point where most would consider them to be viable pieces to take over.
Seriously, we love a lot of the veterans that are on this team, but how much longer do you think Brandon Graham, Rodney McLeod, Lane Johnson, Brandon Brooks, and Jason Kelce are going to play? Who does this team have to replace them with? Do you really trust K’Von Wallace, Alex Singleton, Marcus Epps, Zech McPhearson, Jalen Reagor, and Davion Taylor?
21 players that are on this team are set to be free agents in 2022. 12 of those 21 will be unrestricted free agents. As it seemingly is every season, there’s no plan in place for the future that extends past the current season.
Well, at least the Eagles will probably have those three first-round draft choices! No, wait. Howie Roseman will be the guy in charge of making those picks. Darnit! We’re trying to be positive here, but this team has to give us a reason to be.
