Three first-round picks will help the Philadelphia Eagles get younger at key positions.

The Philadelphia Eagles have 11 draft picks in the 2022 NFL Draft, including two first-round picks, and are well on their way to a third if Carson Wentz continues to play and stay healthy.

However, the draft has been a hit-or-miss territory for the Eagles organization over the past few years. While later-round players like Josh Sweat and Jordan Mailata have worked out so far for the Birds, early-round talent such as Derek Barnett, Jalen Reagor, Andre Dillard, and JJ Arcega-Whiteside have seemed to fall short of expectations.

The chances of the Philadelphia Eagles hitting on an early-round talent is higher than in years past simply because they have more picks. Vice president/general manager Howie Roseman must hit on all three. if he doesn’t, there’s no reason not to put him on the hot seat, At least that’s what fans are hoping. Here are a few ideas. Maybe this will get the imagination flowing some.

Pick Analysis. player. 819. Scouting Report. Safety. Notre Dame. Kyle Hamilton. 3

Round 1, Pick 3 (via MIA)

Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton is a physical beast at six-foot-four and 219 pounds. He has long arms and can outmuscle most receivers at the collegiate level. He’s an integral part of the Notre Dame defense, and it shows. Three interceptions in his first seven games were good for the team lead.

Hamilton doesn’t just have ball skills. He’s also excellent in coverage. His size alone allows him to cover receivers with ease, and his athletic ability shines in his speed and ability to cover. He’s well-balanced, and selecting him shouldn’t be a hard decision.

Rodney McLeod is aging. There’s no real depth behind him. Anthony Harris is serving as, essentially, a one-year rental.
