54. . . . Jalen Reagor, wide receiver. 18. player

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jalen Reagor

This isn’t going to end up working out, is it? Trust us. You’re not alone. We all wanted to see Jalen Reagor take the next step. Heck, it’s not like we were asking for much.

All he needed to do was eclipse the 31 receptions and 396 receiving yards that he hauled in as a rookie and get into the end zone more than once. Well, he’s on his way to doing all of that. He’s already found the end zone twice, and after nine games, he has 21 snags and 159 receiving yards, so why does it feel like he’s still a major disappointment?

We’ve crossed fingers and toes. We’ve kept the faith, and we’ve done everything we could to be patient. The facts are the facts though. Jalen Reagor, at best, might be able to evolve into some sort of a situational wide receiver (if there is such a thing), but past that, there isn’t much to be excited about.

Maybe your scorecard looks a little different from ours, but from where we’ve been sitting, here’s what we’ve discovered to be Reagor’s best assets. He can be relied upon to take the handoff on a reverse, and occasionally he can go deep and draw a pass interference penalty. That’s pretty much his game.

We know Philly’s leadership structure wants him out there based on what he makes and where he was drafted, but as of right now, what’s best for the future might be seeing what the other guys at the position have. Say it with us. We want more Quez Watkins!
