Bold predictions for the Philadelphia Eagles versus Broncos in Week 10
Bold predictions for the Philadelphia Eagles on offense
If the Birds are going to win this one, their offense is going to have to make plays, and you can trust and believe that the game plan that they enter this one with won’t be the one that delivers the win. They’re going to have to make adjustments. The vanilla and predictable approach won’t be enough,
If that’s the game plan, Denver’s defense will feast.
1. The Eagles abandon the run late but still stack just under 200 yards rushing.
There’s a possibility that this one’s close early, but the Broncos have the advantage of hosting this one at Empower Field at Mile High, always a tough place to play regardless of how Denver is performing.
Running the ball and the balanced approach will keep the Philadelphia Eagles in this one early, but as this one wears on and the Birds start realizing that they’re spending a lot of time trailing, they’ll take to the air more. Fortunately, Hurts will be up to the task.
2. Jalen Hurts throws for 200 yards and two touchdowns.
In each of the Eagles’ last two games, Jalen Hurts has gotten a little better and more consistent with delivering the football, completing over 64 percent of his passes in Philly’s games versus the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Chargers. He still misses throws, but he’s been good enough.
Expect the steady progression to continue here, and while some of you may see that as an impossibility versus the Broncos defense, one of the NFL’s stingiest, we expect Jalen Hurts to make some timely throws and hit on a few more of those throws he’s, at times, missed on.
The Eagles win this one in a shocker. Prediction: Eagles 26, Broncos 24
