It’s always cool when you can talk about a game and discuss ‘firsts’. With so many areas to get information from now, Pro Football Focus and NFL Next Gen Stats for instance, it feels like we’re talking about records being set every 15 minutes. We’ll keep it simple though. The Philadelphia Eagles can do a couple of things for the first time in 2021 that are more obvious.

A win in Week 11 over the New Orleans Saints gives them their first two-game winning streak of the season. That would also qualify as the first two-game winning streak for the rookies on this team, the first two-game winning streak for Jalen Hurts as a starting quarterback in the NFL, and the first two-game winning streak for Nick Sirianni and his coaching staff.

Philly’s roster will need to play at a high level, but one of the things that are always taken into consideration is who’s expected to sit out. Everyone’s been watching the injury report all week. Let’s talk about the guys who are expected to be inactive for both teams.

Philadelphia Eagles versus New Orleans Saints Week 11 inactives

According to the Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 11 status report that was released on Friday, Despite the fact that Dallas Goedert left the playing field in Week 10 with a concussion, he was a full participant at practice on Friday. Both he and his head coach Nick Sirianni stated in sit-downs with the media that he’ll play on Sunday.

Center/guard hybrid Jack Anderson continues to deal with a hamstring issue. He’s out for Week 11’s game. Linebacker Davion Taylor (knee) is questionable as is Derek Barnett. Philly surprised everyone on Friday after he didn’t practice by adding him to the injury report with a neck injury.

Then, there’s Miles Sanders. We all know that a 21-day practice window was opened for him this week, and even though he says he’s ready, the Philadelphia Eagles have yet to activate him from their injured reserve. We also know that Nick Sirianni likes to hold his cards close to his vest. Don’t be shocked if Miles Sanders is a surprise late addition.

As far as the Saints are concerned, quarterback Taysom Hill is questionable with a foot injury. Wide receiver Ty Montgomery (hand) is out as are offensive tackles Terron Armstead (knee/shoulder) and Ryan Ramczyk (knee). The same can be said for defensive lineman Malcolm Roach (knee), defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon (ankle), and running back Alvin Kamara (knee).

The Philadelphia Eagles’ final inactive report will be released 90 minutes before kickoff. Bookmark this one, and watch the space below as we will update this post as soon as we get the information.

Update: As stated earlier in this one, the Philadelphia Eagles have announced at 4 p.m. EST on the eve of their game with the Saints that they will, indeed, elevate Miles Sanders from the injured reserve to the active roster.
