The Philadelphia Eagles are hosting a black-out versus the Saints in Week 11.

They don’t have the most-extensive history. They technically aren’t rivals, but in just under 55 years, they’ve seen a lot of each other. The Philadelphia Eagles and the New Orleans Saints meet in Week 11 of the 2021-2022 NFL season for the 34th time on Sunday, and for the Birds, this game represents two things.

They have an opportunity to carve out two straight wins for the first time since they did so in Week 7 and Week 8 of the 2020 NFL season (the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys were the victims). They also have an opportunity to put a game in the win column at home.

If they’re successful, that will be the first time that’s happened all season. There’s no time like the present. As Darius Slay mentioned during his most recent sit-down with members of the Philly media, this team deserves it. So do their fans.

Coming into this one, the Philadelphia Eagles hold an 18-15 edge in the series, but the Saints have bested them in three of their four playoff meetings including the last three times these two teams met in January. New Orleans has also won seven of the last ten meeting, but the Birds won in 2020. That one was Jalen Hurts‘  first start of his career.

As mentioned, Lincoln Financial Field is the site. The Birds are wearing their all-black jerseys. The winner of this one still has a shot at the postseason. Here are four bold predictions.
