Jalen Hurts best and worst throws of Week 11

Best throw:

With 9:00 remaining in the first quarter, the Eagles face a 3rd and six from the Saints’ 35-yard line. Jalen Hurts stands in the pocket calmly and delivers a beautiful toss to Dallas Goedert who beats former Bird Malcolm Jenkins for a first-down conversion. Goedert had two conversions of third and long on Philadelphia’s first scoring drive.

On the latter, the ruling was he was short of the goal line when it appears that he had actually scored. No worries though. QB1 would score on a sneak one play later.

Another nice conversion came on 3rd and 2 with 11:30 remaining in the first half. Hurts finds DeVonta Smith, and the rookie turns what was about a 14-yard completion into a 33-yard catch and run.

Worst throw:

One play after Smith’s catch and run, QB1 sees Miles Sanders a little late with 11 minutes remaining in the first half. Sanders was open and could have been hit for six had Hurts seen him earlier and led him some, but the underthrow allowed Saints safety, Marcus Williams, enough time to fly into position to knock the pass away.

Philly was still able to score on the drive however as Jake Elliott booted a 50-yard field goal through the uprights three plays later.

Still, all things considered, it was a solid day for the Eagles’ offense as they converted 12 of 21 third-down attempts.
