Eagles gameplan vs Giants shouldn’t be affected by weather conditions

The game will be played on MetLife Stadium’s field turf. The temperature is expected to be around 37°F at kickoff when the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants take the field for Round 12 aka Week 12.

Rain wasn’t in the forecast or expected, but Mother Nature did us one better and reminded us that she cares nothing about what your local meteorologist says. There were a few snow flurries shortly before 9 a.m. EST, so if you’re attending the game, you shouldn’t be surprised if there might be a few more and clouds.

In most cases, that type of forecast would be all of the ammunition that we need to stay indoors, drink hot cocoa, and turn on the Playstation 5. The old guard or our grandparents would have been so disappointed in us because days like these are what they use to classify as ‘perfect football weather’.

Expect more of what’s been working for the Eagles in Week 12.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, as we’ve seen since we began getting to know him months ago has quite the way with words. That gardening analogy most certainly threw us off for a few days, but we really like the boxing parallel.

Nick has gone the route of calling each individual week ’rounds’, and in Round 12, one that takes the Eagles to the aforementioned MetLife Stadium for the second of three trips there this season (they played the New York Jets there in the third preseason game and play them there again in Week 13), Philadelphia’s goal is a simple one.

This is their second game versus a divisional rival. The ‘dub’ must be achieved by any means necessary.

For Philly, putting another checkmark in the win column shouldn’t be difficult. They’re the better team. Their quarterback, Jalen Hurts, is improving with each passing week while the Giants’ signal-caller, Daniel Jones seems to be regressing.

On the sideline, if we just use this season as a measuring stick, we’ll give the edge to Sirianni over Joe Judge. The Birds, minus Jordan Howard and Tay Gowan, are relatively healthy. The G-Men are dealing with issues all over the roster from a health standpoint.

We’re calling for an Eagles win. Two teams that have a long tradition of feuding and ill-intent towards one another plan on showing up to do bodily harm to one another for the period of about three hours.

If Philly backs the Giants into a corner and lands those body blows via the running game, New York should suffer the T.K.O. in the fourth quarter. That should be an easy task as the weather won’t have any ill effects on the running game.
