For the first time in the history of the Philadelphia Eagles, they’ll visit the beautiful city of East Rutherford, New Jersey in consecutive weeks to play a football game. It marks the third time that they’ll visit MetLife Stadium this season. Let’s just hope that the third trip produces a better result than we saw during the first two.

Sure, some of you are throwing the challenge flag to remind us that the first game occurred in the preseason, it didn’t account, and as a result, isn’t worthy of our wrath. We respectfully disagree.

That first game versus the New York Jets was as close to a dress rehearsal as we would see in 2021, and yes, everything was vanilla. Still, there isn’t much that has changed about Philadelphia’s young team and coaching staff.

This team, too often, looks unprepared. Even when favored (even though that won’t happen often), they play down to their competition, and there’s a chance that, for a while at least, there will be more frustrating moments than opportunities to cheer.

But hey, next week is a new one, and even though we said this seven days ago, the Eagles have a very winnable game in front of them.
