Should the Eagles begin looking for Jalen Reagor’s replacement already?

Just in case you haven’t been paying attention, there’s a developing issue in the Philadelphia Eagles organization, one that you’ve probably already gotten wind of. Regardless of how much attention they pay to try to fix the wide receiver position, nothing seems to be working out.

Choosing Jalen Reagor over Justin Jefferson in 2020’s NFL Draft continues to haunt this franchise. He’s on pace to become one of the biggest draft busts in the team’s history, but here’s the bad news. He isn’t going anywhere.

No one’s going to trade for him. His salary makes him too expensive to release, and if we’re being honest, here’s the reality. Philadelphia doesn’t have anyone to replace him with. What are they going to do? Are they going to start JJ Arcega-Whiteside?

So, all that’s been said to say this. The Eagles are stuck with this guy for a while. He’ll be back in 2022, but believe it or not, even if he is here, Philadelphia is going to have to draft ANOTHER wide receiver in next year’s selection meeting. The question is how early will they pull the trigger?

Here’s a name that you might be unfamiliar with but will hear more of as next April approaches, Jalen Tolbert. He’s a six-foot-one, 194-pound wideout out of South Alabama.

This young man is a nice watch on game days, but his level of competition is a question. It will be interesting to watch him at a postseason game or something to see how he handles better opposition but put him in the category of honorable mentions right now.

Put these next ten names on a list of prospects that could replace Reagor as starters in the Eagles lineup next season.
