5 Jets on offense the Eagles should make note of

They’re not known for being explosive, but the Eagles’ defense should have a fight on its hands. Here are five guys to watch.

Tevin Coleman, running back

The Jets placed Michael Carter on their injured reserve on November 27th, and just like that, Tevin Coleman is the guy. He led the Jets in rushing in Week 12 and figures to get the bulk of the carries in this one.

Jamison Crowder, wide receiver

The Eagles are very familiar with Jamison Crowder‘s playmaking ability having battled him eight times as a member of the Washington Football Team and, most recently, in 2019 during their last meeting with the Jets. Crowder has caught 26 passes for 262 yards and found the end zone once in those nine games.

Alijah Vera-Tucker, left guard

12 selections after the Jets took Zach Wilson, and four spots after the Eagles went with DeVonta Smith, the Jets invested a second first-round selection in someone to protect their young quarterback. Solomon Alijah Lewis Vera-Tucker was the name they scribbled on a draft card.

His job is assisting in keeping Fletcher Cox, Javon Hargrave, and Milton Williams off of his quarterback.

Elijah Moore, wide receiver

Corey Davis is questionable for this one. Keelan Cole is out. No one likes injuries, but let’s be frank. This is good news for Philly.

The last time they saw Davis, he was in Tennessee, and he caught nine passes resulting in 161 receiving yards and the game-winning touchdown in overtime. His and Cole’s absences mean Elijah Moore is the top wideout on the depth chart. So far he has 65 receptions and four touchdowns on the season.

Ryan Griffin, tight end

Ryan Griffin has 35 receptions on the season and could cause some issues for the Eagles’ linebackers and safeties in both the running and passing game.
