Philadelphia Eagles 2022 NFL Draft prospects: Jermaine Johnson
This isn’t your father’s Florida State program. Unfortunately for Seminole Nation, if you’re raising teenagers or still attending high school, you may have forgotten or are unaware that, once upon a time, this was THE premier program in the ACC. No seriously, stop laughing. They were.
The citizens of Tallahassee, Florida might be experiencing some impatience as of late, but FSU can recruit with the best of them from time to time. Eagles fans are well aware of the fact that this has long been one of the NFL’s farm systems for talent as they’ve been watching the continued rise to stardom of one of their beloved sons, Josh Sweat.
Heading into what’s sure to be an interesting march towards the 2022 NFL Draft, Jermaine Johnson is a name that you want to remember. He’s six-foot-five. He’s 260 pounds, and in 2021, he made his way to the head of the 2022 draft class’s crop of defensive ends after notching 70 total tackles (33 were solo and 17.5 resulted in a loss of yardage) to go along with 11.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
He figures to hear his name called in Round 1.
