The Philadelphia Eagles add three positions of need in the first round.

The Philadelphia Eagles have been been linked to Derek Stingley Jr. ever since his breakout freshman season at LSU. While the Birds need an EDGE rusher, the potential top three (Kayvon Thibodeaux, Aidan Hutchinson, and George Karlaftis) could all be off of the board by the time we reach the tenth pick.

That leaves the cornerback position as the best option to use Philly’s first pick on. Stingley would be a perfect fit in the Eagles’ secondary.

Steven Nelson’s contract ends at the end of the current season. The Eagles have Darius Slay, who looks to still be the Eagles CB1. Avonte Maddox is also in the fold. He’s excelled in the nickel.

While Stingley could prove to be the best cornerback in this class, he will likely fall to the Eagles based on the questionability of his true skill, as he hasn’t played a full season since 2019.
