The hour nears. The Philadelphia Eagles‘ Week 15 game versus the Washington Football Team is upon us, and on game day, with only three hours remaining before kickoff, the Birds juggled the roster one more time.

According to an official team report, they’ve elevated center/guard hybrid Jack Anderson from Reserve/Injured list to the active roster.

It’s doubtful that he’ll play unless there’s some sort of unexpected emergency, but he has the trust of what might be the best position coach on the entire staff, Jeff Stoutland, and you know the saying: If he’s good enough for Jeff, he’s good enough for us.

Okay, maybe that isn’t an actual saying, but it should be!

Here’s the breakdown on Eagles C/G Jack Anderson if you’re interested.

Anderson has been sitting on the team’s injured reserve since November 20th, ahead of the Eagles Week 11 game versus the New Orleans Saints when a hamstring injury landed him there. Other than being elevated to the active roster for Philadelphia’s game versus the Kansas City Chiefs many moons ago in Week 4, he’s been inactive for every other game.

He’s both a former and current teammate of Zech McPhearson as both cut their teeth at the collegiate level with the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Anderson was the 236th player taken during Round 7 of the most recent NFL Draft (Buffalo Bills).

He was waived on August 31st during final roster cuts and re-signed to the practice squad the next day. That’s when the Eagles swooped in, signing him to their active roster on September 21st.

Again, it’s doubtful that he plays, but you know how injuries work in the NFL. Anything can happen, but for the sake of argument. Let’s hope for a huge game out of the starting offensive line. This is a huge game with playoff implications.
