Well, is Jalen Hurts going to play or not? That’s the question. If it seems like we’ve been talking about that since around Thanksgiving, it’s because we have been. After tweaking his ankle during an embarrassing Week 12 loss to the New York Giants three days after Turkey Day, as former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson would have said had he been here, ‘Hurts was dealing with a lower-body injury and was day-to-day’.

He was a game-time decision versus the New York Jets in Week 13. He missed that one, and the City of Brotherly Love got its first taste of Gardner Minshew and the ‘Mania’ that comes along with having him on your roster.

Minshew completed 20 of 25 passes for 242 yards and tossed two touchdown passes versus the New York Jets, and that gave birth to a modern version of something that we’ve all seen with this Eagles team from time to time, quarterback controversies in the court of public opinion.

You know, those controversies that don’t really exist. We’ve known that whenever Jalen Hurts is healthy enough to play, that this is HIS team, and it appears, thanks to some news out of the NovaCare Complex, that it’s time for another helping.

Jalen Hurts is expected to play and start versus Washington in Week 15.

Finally! Week 15 has arrived. It’s been 16 days since the Eagles have played a football game. That’s hard to believe in what’s now a 17-game, 18-week regular-season grind, but here we are.

Jalen Hurts was a full participant at Eagles practice from Friday to Monday, and with the two extra days to heal, the belief is that he’ll start versus the Washington Football Team in Week 15.

Finally, we get to see how he bounces back after a poor performance the last time that we saw him. Finally! The Eagles have a chance to avenge the season sweep by their rivals from the nation’s capital that occurred a year ago. Finally! We get to see an Eagles game. The winner of this one has a leg up in the hunt for a Wild Card berth in the NFC.
