Jalen Hurts has silenced the critics, for now anyway.

What a difference a week makes. Or, in this case, maybe we should say three weeks. Before Week 15’s final two games, the last time we saw Jalen Hurts on the field to play a football game, it was still November, some of us were still eating Thanksgiving leftovers, and we were performing Google searches to try and determine how many ways we could use turkey in an afternoon or evening snack.

Every Philadelphia Eagles fan and/or member of the media, whether they live in the Delaware Valley or anywhere else on the planet,

knows what happened next. Philly’s version of ‘Mania’ began as Gardner Minshew led the Birds to a much-needed victory over the lowly New York Jets. The Eagles were off in Week 14. The most recent game came two days after we expected, but boy was it worth the wait.

If you’ve been wondering how QB1 would bounce back after Philly’s debacle in New Jersey versus the New York Giants, you now have your answer. Jalen Hurts has silenced the doubters, for a week anyway. It’s time to show him some love. Let’s talk about a very memorable night when Hurts needed to be and was at his best.
