Revenge will be sweet for the Eagles in Week 16. Count on it.

Some of you believe that you care more about wins and losses than this Philadelphia Eagles team. You don’t.

Your frustrations are understood. We all put a lot of our spare time and emotions into what this team is doing and whether or not they wind up on the winning side of the next game’s outcome, but to think that a hard-fought loss to a division rival bothers you as a fan more than the guys who just spent the last three hours putting their bodies and reputations on the line is a thought exercised in error.

You’ve confused the midset of a professional athlete with his emotion. The two must be separate. Cornerbacks can’t be focused on getting beaten. They have to focus on the next play, or they’ll be beaten again.

Wide receivers can’t dwell on a dropped pass, or the next time the ball comes in their direction, they’ll drop that pass too. The Eagles know better than anyone that they can’t get too high after wins or too low after losses, but trust and believe they can’t wait to get the New York Giants back on the field.

It’s time to get that bad taste out of their mouths that they’ve been chewing on since Week 12. Here are four bold predictions for Week 16’s game between these age-old rivals.
