The Philadelphia Eagles should expect two NFC West teams to make the postseason.

While the NFC East has teetered around being the NFL’s worst division, the NFC West has proven time and time again to be one of its best. The Seattle Seahawks have been one of the National Football Conference’s more consistent franchises since Russell Wilson has been their signal-caller, but they’ve fallen on hard times, posting nine losses in their first 14 games during the 2021-2022 regular season.

Still, even with that being said, if the NFL season would have ended after Week 15, the NFC West would have sent three teams to the playoffs: The aforementioned Niners, the Los Angeles Rams, and the Arizona Cardinals. The Rams and Cardinals sport identical 10-4 records, and while we’re still working out who will win the division, both should wind up in the postseason.

If the playoffs started right now, the Rams would be the 5th-seeded team, and for that reason, we put them ahead of Philly on this ranking as the top-seeded non-division winner. That could change though. Still, whether the Birds were to play Arizona or L.A., both of those teams, more than likely, figure to be a more difficult matchup than games versus Minnesota or San Fran would be.
