5 biggest zeroes on the Philadelphia Eagles roster in 2021
Perhaps the Philadelphia Eagles should have known what was up.
For ten seasons (and 19 games total), Ryan Kerrigan was one of those guys that fell into a category that guys like Jason Witten fell in, players that the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans wouldn’t miss if they never saw them on a football field again.
Kerrigan was an absolute pain in the arse, tallying 63 total tackles, including 15 stops that resulted in a loss of yardage, an interception, six forced fumbles, 13.5 sacks, and an additional 24 hits on the quarterback during those 19 games.
During the most recent offseason, the Washington Football Team made a decision. They believed that giving up on one of the best players they’ve had over the past decade was the best move for their football team. You would have thought that would have been a red flag for Philly. Instead, they saw it as an opportunity.
They inked Kerrigan to a one-year deal on May 17th. They’ve gotten nothing out of him. He has three total tackles on the season, each of which he got by accident. His only chance at making a play is standing there and hoping someone runs in his direction and runs into him. Otherwise, he’s a liability on defense.
