The 2022 Eagles roster figures to look a lot different than the current version.

Ladies and gentlemen and Philadelphia Eagles fans of all ages, there’s no point in beating around the bush. You’ve been hoodwinked. Now, that isn’t to say that your favorite team misled you intentionally, but you’ve most certainly been promised things that haven’t happened.

Remember ‘the new norm’? Yep, how’s that working out for you? As a matter of fact, the man that said it, Doug Pederson, isn’t a part of the team anymore.

There was also that time Eagles vice president/general manager Howie Roseman held up that sheet of looseleaf paper and gave us that ‘Can he run? Is he healthy? Does he love to play?’ nonsense. That was right after the 2020 NFL Draft, and it was supposed to be an indication that he was past giving old guys that get hurt too often too much money for too many years.

Have you seen the shape this roster is in? Can you believe that there’s a chance that this team will need to draft ANOTHER wide receiver? Wait! Does this team still need an outside cornerback and depth at linebacker? What are we doing here?

Here’s what’s amazing. The Eagles might make the playoffs this year. If they do, that will probably save Howie’s job, and the strangest part of all of that is it’s his fault that the roster is where it is. Dare we say the Eagles should have kept Doug and said goodbye to Roseman?

Oh well. That’s water under the bridge now, so let’s talk about something relevant, potential roster turnover. Here are four Eagles that might be playing their final regular-season games as members of the midnight green. Don’t be shocked if they aren’t here next season.
