So, how are you feeling about Nick Sirianni now?

We’re nearing the end of the 2021-2022 NFL season, and by now, we should all be able to make some serious and informed statements about Nick Sirianni and where/who this Philadelphia Eagles team is.

We’ve talked about his play-calling and his ability to beat metaphors to death (mostly in a confusing fashion). We’ve even brought up the fact that he has yet to beat an elite-level quarterback, but here we are. Nick Sirianni has led his team to the brink of a playoff berth, and regardless of how you feel about him or whether you’ve joined the Sirianni bandwagon or not, here’s one thing that you can hang your hat on.

At least he isn’t Urban Meyer!

Come on guys and gals! We know about his resume. We know that Urban Meyer has been the top man at two historic college football programs. Certainly, we all know he boasts three national championships at the NCAA level.

There’s another side to Urban Meyer though, and shame on you if you don’t know what that side looks like. Wherever Meyer goes, the drama follows. It was only a matter of time that the drama would show up in Duval County.

The Jacksonville Jaguars fired Urban Meyer just nine days before Christmas. He finished with a 2-11 win-loss total. That’s a winning percentage of .154, the worst of any non-interim head coach since Cam Cameron finished with a .063 winning percentage for the Miami Dolphins in 2007.

He’d be at the bottom of this rookie head-coaching ranking if, well, he was still an NFL head coach, but he isn’t. Shame on Jacksonville for thinking he could be. Here’s how Nick Sirianni stacks up versus the guys who are still employed.
