Philadelphia Eagles Week 17 studs and duds following heart-stopping rally
These Philadelphia Eagles definitely don’t make it easy on themselves, do they?
Another week passes. We’re witnesses to another heart-stopping performance by the Philadelphia Eagles. Whew! That was close!
As Week 17’s game approached, it was easy to wonder if the stressors and physical demands of playing three games in 13 days would eventually take their toll. Maybe it did. Maybe it didn’t. Sure, that could be the reason for the slow starts. Then again, you could also argue that this team needs to come into games more focused.
Whatever the case, you can say what you want about the NFC East. Whenever any of these teams in this division meet, Washington’s game versus the Dallas Cowboys notwithstanding, fans are in for some heavyweight prizefighting.
Rodney McLeod takes home a game ball from this one. For the second time in as many weeks, he hauled in an all-important interception.
His pick in Week 16 versus the New York Giants flipped the momentum in the Birds’ favor and spearheaded a win. His interception in his homecoming in Week 17 slammed the door shut on a late Washington rally and reminded us of a game between these two age-old rivals when Brian Dawkins picked off Patrick Ramsey to end a rally on Sunday Night Football in 2004.
Give Rodney two game balls for this one. Here’s a look at a few more guys that deserve game balls as well.
