Jalen Hurts given stamp of approval from proven Cowboys homer
Even in a game that we know the Philadelphia Eagles are sitting 19 starters like their QB1, Jalen Hurts, and they aren’t doing all that they can to win, a loss to the Dallas Cowboys sucks. There are several reasons why that’s the case, but here are the most obvious
One, it’s a loss to one of the teams that the Birds most despise. Second, it means that we must hear the constant jabs of what’s, without question, the most irritating fan base in all of the professional sports… the football illiterate and often delusional contingent that follows the blue and grey, the so-called ‘America’s Team’.
If you know any Cowboys fans, you know what we mean. Dallas could win two games in any regular season, and as soon as the season ended, you know what they’d say… ‘You know we’re going to win the Super Bowl next year right?’
Yes fans, knowing or working alongside a Cowboys fan can be an excruciating experience, but recently, one of their most famous homers/apologists threw his name in the hat for Philly’s QB1.
Skip Bayless gives Jalen Hurts a nice nod.
Love him or not, whether you tune in daily or change the channel every time you see him on your television screen, Skip Bayless remains one of the most-viewed and watched members of our morning TV-viewing experience.
He’s a godfather of our beloved sports-debate television, and the creator/host of FS1’s Skip and Shannon: Undisputed. He’s also one of the more vocal and obvious Dallas Cowboys homers on television. Calling his takes a bit one-sided and off-base seems like an understatement.
Then again, why should we be surprised? He is a Cowboys fan, and again, that’s just how they’re wired.
He did give Jalen Hurts a nod recently though. Take a look:
It isn’t much. Still, if you know any Cowboys fans, you’re totally on board about how surprising something like this is.
Then again, who are we kidding? We all know that Skip is an Oklahoma Sooners guy as well. That’s probably where this is coming from, but hey, when referencing a Dallas Cowboys fan, we’ll take our wins where we can find them.
