Potential Eagles free-agent replacements for Brandon Graham
There’s a chance that Brandon Graham won’t be a member of this Eagles team in 2022.
As depressing as it was to watch the Philadelphia Eagles crash and burn versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round of the NFC Playoffs, it may have been even worse to watch Bruce Arians stop dead in his tracks because Nick Sirianni was nowhere to be found for the postgame handshake, at least initially. Philly’s final loss of the 2021-2022 NFL season stings, but now, decisions must be made. What happens to guys like Brandon Graham, Rodney McLeod, and Jason Kelce now?
Each of those guys has worn the captain’s bars for Philadelphia in 2021. Kelce will be on this team in 2022 if he wants to be. That isn’t a certainty for the other two. Let’s focus on Graham.
He’s been with the organization since the Birds traded up in the 2010 NFL Draft to take him with the 13th-overall selection. The questions now are about whether or not watching him leave the playing field on a cart will be our final memory of him in the midnight green. We know the Eagles often add interior defensive linemen in free agency. Might they, this year, at strength at the EDGE position?
If Brandon Graham, Ryan Kerrigan, and Derek Barnett are all gone in the offseason, they might have to. Here are five guys that could be logical replacements if Howie Roseman goes fishing in free agency’s pond to help strengthen this team’s pass rush.
