Potential Eagles replacements for Derek Barnett: Randy Gregory

We know what you’re thinking. The Good Lord in Heaven knows we do.

We all HATE the Dallas Cowboys, and normally, in the rare instances in which the Birds have plucked one of those guys out of that ugly white, blue, and grey jersey to have them play for the good guys, they’ve stunk things up.

Herschel Walker was okay, but how long ago was that? Lately, watching DeMarco Murray flounder around and Orlando Scandrick’s attempts to burn the house down after leaving have soured us on former Cowboys players even further, but it’s hard to discuss some of the best EDGE talents that will potentially be available during free agency’s signing period without bringing up Randy Gregory.

Would he not upgrade the Eagles pass rush if he stepped into the lineup? Is he not one of the better options if the Eagles move on from Brandon Graham and look to find his replacement in free agency?

Dallas has a lot of guys who are overpaid. Several of their guys are paid like one of the top five players at their respective positions (and none of them are). With the knowledge that the Cowboys just signed Demarcus Lawrence to a massive five-year deal on April 5th of 2019, the writing could be on the wall that Gregory will be one of the more sought-after targets when teams begin fishing in free agency’s pool come March.
