Here’s a look at what the Eagles’ needs are as we near the free-agency period.

There are two ways that we can look at this folks. We can celebrate the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles made the playoffs despite this being a team in rebuilding mode, or we can be supercritical and rack our brains over what this organization has to do to put a better product on the field.

You’ve been a Birds fan long enough to know that conversations about the roster can take negative turns and become venomous. Debates become arguments. Passion doesn’t look very passionate, so here’s what we’re going to do. We’re going to come up with a healthy mix of emotions.

The Eagles should be proud of their accomplishments in 2021. Their head coach, Nick Sirianni, was the only rookie head coach to lead his team to the postseason, but this team hasn’t been able to win ten games or more since they won the Super Bowl. That isn’t going to cut it.

This team can’t keep struggling to nine wins and treating that like it’s the standard. Changes must be made if they’re to be perennial contenders. The needs are obvious. They’ll have draft picks and money to spend to land talent. Here’s a ranking of their top needs ahead of free agency.
