54. 18. 30. Final. 33

The Philadelphia Eagles right the ship after an embarrassing loss to the Giants.

In Jalen Hurts’ only absence of this season, the Eagles returned to East Rutherford, New Jersey for a second consecutive week. This time, they faced a New York Jets team that they have never lost against.

Their mastery of Gang Green continued as quarterback Gardner Minshew led the Eagles to their sixth win on the season. It was the sixth game in which Philly eclipsed the 30-point threshold.

Minshew threw for 242 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but the stars of the show, outside of Dallas Goedert, were Miles Sanders, as he posted 120 yards on the day, and Kenny Gainwell. The latter ran for 54 yards and a touchdown. Grade: A

54. Final. 17. 58. 27

The first of two games versus the Washington Football Team couldn’t have come at a better juncture of the season. This was perfectly set up for the Eagles… sort of.

A COVID-19 outbreak in Washington’s locker room led to the game’s postponement by the NFL. Garrett Gilbert made the start and Washington got out to a 10-0 lead.

The Eagles rebounded, scoring 20 points of their own, and despite the Football Team narrowing things to a three-point game in the fourth quarter, Hurts and the Eagles pulled this one out with a final score to put this one out of reach. Grade: B
