Several cornerbacks could catch the Eagles’ attention at the Senior Bowl.

The slogan is well-known among NFL aficionados. ‘The draft starts in Mobile’, and for the Philadelphia Eagles (and all of the other 31 professional football franchises), the next Senior Bowl will provide a final opportunity to see an all-star grouping of NFL prospects on the field at the same time. You can best believe that Philly’s brass will be in attendance.

We’ve discussed the Eagles’ needs repeatedly, and one of the holes that we know must be filled is that outside cornerback position opposite of Pro Bowler Darius Slay. Might someone playing in this game on February 5th fill the void?

Many of the elite prospects and some of the guys that we have a lot of respect for won’t be there: Derek Stingley (LSU Tigers), Ahmad ‘Sauce’ Gardner (Cincinnati Bearcats), Trent McDuffie (Washington Huskies), Kaiir Elam (Florida Gators), Daxton Hill (Michigan Wolverines), Kyler Gordon (Washington). That’s okay though. That means that we’ll get to see some exceptional prospects that have flown under the radar.

Here’s the best of that bunch. Each one should be on the Eagles draft board. Whether or not they get serious looks after February 5th is up for debate.

Are you ready? Good! Let’s work.
