The Philadelphia Eagles have trade pieces if they’re willing to shop them.

Whenever any Philadelphia Eagles season reaches its end, it’s hard not to look back and identify those areas where the team can improve, those questions that, if answered, can transform this team back into the franchise that dominated the NFC East for most of Andy Reid’s run with the organization.

Andy was an excellent coach that made personnel decisions. The job of staffing this team now belongs to Howie Roseman. Philly’s head coach is now Nick Sirianni, a man trying to lead his team back to the top of the NFC East and, possibly, back-to-back division titles for the first time since Andy led the Birds to four straight NFC East crowns from 2001 to 2004.

Strengthening this roster will be goal number one in the process. Step two will be determining what to do with guys like Andre Dillard.

. . Andre Dillard, offensive tackle. 77. player. 54.

It made sense at the time. Dillard was the man once believed to be the heir to Jason Peters’ throne. Things, most certainly, have changed as the now-fourth-year offensive tackle is staring up on the depth chart at Jordan Mailata.

One year remains on the rookie deal that Dillard signed in 2019. There’s an option for a fifth, and for an Eagles team that has a lot of young talent along the offensive line (and draft picks), this could be prime territory for Philly to deal Dillard to an organization that can’t say the same thing.

That would save the Birds some money, and while we’re on the subject, here are four other young players this team should consider using as collateral.
