DeVonta Smith isn’t the only bandwagon Philadelphia Eagles fans can jump on.

Bandwagons… There’s nothing like seeing a good friend or coworker throw on a jersey you’ve NEVER seen them rock before. Now, as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles fan base, flip-flopping isn’t a part of your mental makeup, but you can attest to seeing a few more Dallas Cowboys fans pop up when things seem to be going well in Arlington, can’t you?

If you know any, don’t point them out. It’s okay. They’re Cowboys fans. You can’t expect them to know any better.

The truth is the bandwagon element is nothing new in sports. For some of you who are younger, Tom Brady spent most of your lives as the New England Patriots quarterback. Bill Belichick has always been their coach, so you might be unaware of how things were before they showed up.

For some of us that are older, you’re very much aware that Boston is a Red Sox, Bruins, and Celtics city. The Pats’ fan base didn’t really show up until 2001. Again, if you know anyone that qualifies, don’t point them out.

Let’s bring this home. Birds fans are different animals. They care more. They’re there through thick and thin.

Any bandwagon that exists can only be found in new draft picks and signees that join the team as free agents. There’s a Darius Slay bandwagon. There was the Carson Wentz Wagon and the Jay Ajayi Train. There was even a Paul Turner bandwagon once. DeVonta Smith’s Eagles bandwagon began when he became a draft-day target in 2021. Those are bandwagons that we can live with.

But…. and this is a big but… if you’re looking for a few more bandwagons to join, we’ve got you covered. Here are four to keep you busy all season. Get your tickets early. The buses could fill up before you know it.
