Rodney McLeod gets the superhero treatment from HEARTLENT Group
Who hasn’t flipped through a comic book at least once and imagined themselves as the hero? Don’t act like it’s just us. Oh, and while we’re on the subject, there had to be a time when you imagined yourselves in a Philadelphia Eagles jersey playing on Super Bowl Sunday. Rodney McLeod got to live his championship dream back in February of 2018 when the Birds toppled the greatest dynasty in the history of professional sports to win Super Bowl LII.
A little over four years later, his superhero fantasy seems to be a reality as well. One of the most popular Eagles of recent memory, thanks to his recent Alan Page Community Award, earned a nod from HEARTLENT Group for his achievement. Ladies and gentlemen, this one speaks to that superhero in all of us.
HEARTLENT Group partners with the NFLPA to give kudos to Rodney McLeod.
Since 2014, the National Football League Players Associations’ Community MVP Program has taken the time to honor one of the NFL’s stars during each week of the regular season for community outreach and philanthropy. Each winner is awarded $10,000 for a charity of his choice or for his own foundation.
Week 14’s MVP, Rodney McLeod, and his Change Our Future foundation raised $205K to help update STEM and Black history studies at local schools. As if that wasn’t enough, he collected 250 pairs of shoes and 150 toys for some of the city’s youth at his inaugural Sneaker Ball.
That led to him landing in a pool of five finalists for the Alan Page Community Award, the NFLPA’s highest honor, one he was awarded on February 9th. HEARTLENT Group was provided an opportunity to lead the creative for this season’s campaign, and they brought the superhero theme to life, creating an illustration for each week’s winner during the season plus two animations that recognized the five finalists and the overall winner.

Here’s our expert analysis. It doesn’t get much better than that. As if that wasn’t spectacular enough, the NFLPA and HEARTLENT Group took things a step further.
Each illustration was made into clothing via Aldine Sports Association. That’s a youth sports organization that focuses on community, education, and athletics, one that was founded by Michael Thomas of the Cincinnati Bengals. T-shirts and hoodies featuring each illustration can be bought on their website.
