EDGE. Seminoles . Jermaine Johnson II. 16. player. 804.

The Eagles find an EDGE star by raiding the Seminoles… again.

As you probably figured out by looking at the picks we made for the other teams that are selecting ahead of the Eagles in 2022, this is a draft that’s loaded with EDGE stars, but as is the case with great quarterbacks in Fantasy drafts, teams are going to have to move quickly come April because even though this is a deep class at the position, the stars are going to come off of the board quickly.

With that being said, our choice for the Eagles at the 16th-overall selection is Jermaine Johnson III of the Florida State Seminoles. Don’t forget that the last time the Birds took an EDGE prospect from FSU, that was Josh Sweat. That worked out pretty well for them.

There’s a chance that, as we move through the pre-draft process, Jermaine Johnson’s star will continue to brighten and he’ll climb on draft boards. Until that happens, here are our top EDGE prospects in the 2022 draft class (in order): Kayvon Thibodeaux, Aidan Hutchinson, George Karlaftis, David Ojabo, and Johnson.

Travon Walker (Georgia Bulldogs), Drake Jackson (USC Trojans), Logan Hall (Houston Cougars), Cameron Thomas (San Diego State Aztecs), and Will McDonald IV (Iowa State Cyclones) rounds out the rest of our top ten.

Pick 16 is a prime position for Philly to address their EDGE needs, especially with the knowledge that Brandon Graham is aging and Ryan Kerrigan and Derek Barnett will both leave in free agency.
