By now, if you’re like the rest of us, you’ve learned that all YouTube channels and podcasts aren’t created equal. Some are horrific. Then, there are the others that qualify as must-see television… or streaming… or whatever. You get the point. Say these words out loud, and try to fight back a smile. Darius Slay has a YouTube channel. Yep, that’s what we thought. We thought you might be interested.

In just two seasons, Big Play Slay has become one of the more popular members of the Philadelphia Eagles roster. He’s somehow managed to do what few NFL stars have been able to accomplish, whether they play in the City of Brotherly Love or any of the other 31 cities that house an NFL team.

In two seasons, Darius Slay has added a triple crown of his own to his resume.

With all due respect to Cooper Kupp, Slay’s manufactured a triple-crown of his own. He’s loved by the coaches and teammates he shares a locker room with. He’s loved by Eagles fans, but he also has the undivided attention and love of the Philly media. You see they’re always trying to talk to him right?

There are many words to describe Slay: talented, Pro Bowler, all-star. Here’s one we’ve never used… shy. Fresh off another Pro Bowl trip, one where he found the cameras as often as he could, Big Play took to Twitter to announce he’s launching a YouTube channel. Something tells us that he won’t have any issues with landing a few subscribers.

Take a look at the announcement.

Yeah… We’re in.

We had gotten a little nervous. The podcast and YouTube channel phenomenon have gotten a tad oversaturated. Anyone that has a microphone, a functioning cell phone camera, somewhere between 15 and 30 minutes of free time, and a ring light (for the guys and gals who are really investing in their hobby) is diving headfirst into the game.

Trending. 4 QBs in the NFL Draft the Eagles must avoid. light

Let’s just say that some of these people need to go back to the drawing board. The game isn’t for everyone, but something tells us Slay will figure things out.

We’ve subscribed. We’ve tapped the notification bell. Let the good times roll. This ought to be two tons of fun.
