Carson Strong and Desmond Ridder are the best Day 2 prospects there are.

In terms of what he did at the collegiate level, Carson Strong‘s resume is as impressive as they come. His final 31 games produced a 68-percent completion percentage to go along with 9,368 yards passing and 74 touchdowns versus 19 picks, but again, as stated earlier, who you play matters.

Forgive us if we aren’t cutting backflips because he beat up on the Mountain West Conference.

Who knows what the ceiling is for Carson Strong? It’s hard to tell at this point. His offseason, NFL Combine workout, and Pro Day at Nevada will teach us a lot about how we should value him.

As he was through his final season at the collegiate level, Desmond Ridder is one of the quarterbacks we can’t stop talking about. The reasons why that’s the case are the same as they were when we watched him help lead the Cincinnati Bearcats to an undefeated regular season, an American Athletic Conference Football Championship Game win.

He was masterful versus the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and took home Davey O’Brien National Quarterback of the Week honors for his efforts. People most remember what they’ve seen, however, and no one’s forgotten about how lost he looked versus the Alabama Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff semi-finals. That seems to have cooled the buzz some, but he’ll be fine once we start getting involved with the draft discussions.

Trending. 4 darlings the Eagles must remove from their board. light

Put an asterisk by Ridder’s name. He could, very well, be the top quarterback prospect in terms of who might be available in Round 2, but if Matt Corral gets the cold shoulder in Round 1 (a very real possibility), that could ignite some discussions about whether or not he should be valued over Ridder. We’ll have to wait and see how things play out.
