The decision should be an easy one for the Eagles about some of this roster.

March is here. We know what that means. The Philadelphia Eagles are ready to play a game of musical chairs with the roster. As always, turnover should be expected. That’s just a part of the deal in the current NFL.

In terms of who should stay or go, that brain exercise never ends. Even if the team hasn’t followed suit, much of the Eagles nation has moved on, both mentally and emotionally, from guys like JJ Arcega-Whiteside and Derek Barnett. The hope is, even though he has another year remaining on his rookie deal, that the Birds will physically move on from JJAW too. Barnett, one of Philly’s impending free agents this offseason, seemingly has one foot out of the door.

Spirited debates can occur whenever we mention guys like Rodney McLeod and Brandon Graham. No one should be surprised if they’re allowed to hang around. No one should be shocked if the Birds surprise us and move on.

Philadelphia finally has a healthy mix of budding young stars and proven veterans, but there are also areas for improvement. Here’s a list of four guys occupying roster spots (or, in one case, a spot on the practice squad) that should probably belong to someone else.
