Might the Eagles have any issues with bringing in a former rival?
For much of Odell Beckham Jr.’s young career, Eagles fans saw quite a bit of him but were unable to truly appreciate his talent because he was wearing the jersey of one of the teams that Birds fans hate the most, the New York Giants.
Big Blue exiled him to Cleveland where we all forgot about him more often than not, but after the Browns made the decision to give up on him and the Los Angeles Rams gave him an opportunity, OBJ proved there was plenty of tread left on the tire. There’s just one issue. He hasn’t been able to stay healthy since 2019.
OBJ may never again be the guy that set the world on fire with that one-handed catch on Monday Night Football, but when free agency begins, he’ll, more than likely, be on everyone’s list as one of the top five wideouts that are available.
The last time we saw him, he made an acrobatic catch for a touchdown in the Super Bowl, but he also left the game with an injury. As mentioned, the bumps and bruises come more frequently these days, but if he’s available for the same $1.2 million price tag the Rams got him on (yeah right), it will be next to impossible for Philly to say no. We’ll have to wait and see how things develop.
