There’s only one Jason Kelce. We say that as a compliment and with regret. If the Philadelphia Eagles had 22 variations of the five-time Pro Bowler and future Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, they would have won at least two more Super Bowls, but guys like this come along once in a generation.

How else do you explain a sixth-rounder becoming one of the best players in the history of a franchise that’s approaching its 90th birthday?

As has been the case during the past two offseasons, we’ve all been on ‘Kelce watch’. Sure, there’s always this feeling that he’ll be back, but that last playoff loss was different. Kelce was the last Eagles player to leave the field, and he didn’t look like himself when he did. Fear not though Birds fans we have good news to report.

Jason Kelce seems to be enjoying the beer keg Coach Sirianni sent him.

There’s something to be said about a head coach that knows how to take his team’s pulse. Kelce told us his decision to retire or keep playing would come down to what his body tells him and if the desire to play was still there. Meanwhile, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni made at least two references that we can remember to sending him a beer keg to sway him.

Let’s put it this way, there’s nothing like a beer to get guys talking. March 10th will be remembered as a great day as, shortly after the end of many Eagles fans’ workdays on the East Coast, one of the most beloved Birds in franchise history announced his return as only he can.

Yes indeed! The man that may never have to dig into his pockets again for some spare change to buy a beer in the City of Brotherly Love is back (and it looks like he’s enjoying that keg!

Great job Nick! You get the gold star for this one! In 2022, we run it back with one of the team captains yet again.
