The Eagles have some questions to answer about a couple of tigers.

When you throw Georgia out of the conversation, there are times when the rest of the SEC East looks more like the teams playing in the ACC than what we get in terms of quality football by watching the western half of college football’s best conference. We aren’t getting a showcase when we watch Missouri play Vanderbilt, but the Tigers stock their cupboard with future NFL stars often, and Akayleb Evans could be one of the top ten cornerbacks in this draft class.

His stat line isn’t staggering per se (28 tackles, six pass breakups, and an interception), and even though he checks a lot of boxes, this six-foot-one, 201-pound cover guy has a lot to prove following a week of Senior Bowl practice where he didn’t stand out.

. . . Andrew Booth Jr., Clemson. 5. player. 879

There’s a lot to Andrew Booth Jr. and much to like about his game. In 25 career appearances as a member of the Clemson Tigers, he added 68 total tackles, including 51 of the solo variety, a sack, five interceptions, and nine pass breakups to the cause.

Some say his effectiveness was more about the scheme than anything he was doing, so he’ll more than likely, need to impress in some pre-draft meetings, but if we’re discussing the top cornerbacks in this class not named Gardner or Stingley, Booth could be on everyone’s top five come the end of April.
