Who’s coming and going as the Philadelphia Eagles move through the free agency period?

Well, we made it. The ball dropped, the clock struck 4 p.m. EST on Wednesday, March 16th, and just like that, a new NFL year was underway. It’s time to dig into what the Philadelphia Eagles need to do to get better.

We all hate those ‘will the Eagles be involved in talks to land (insert player’s name here)’ discussions, but this is the time of year where it makes sense to listen to most of them. If anyone is out there and available and they play a position of need for Philadelphia, they’re fair game for the ever-churning NFL rumor mill.

Executive vice president/general manager Howie Roseman, according to  Jimmy Kempski of The Philly Voice has agreed to a three-year extension as he was in the final year of his contract. We imagine it would have been interesting to see if the moves he made would have been ultimately geared towards focusing on the long-term or a win-now mode of thinking (or a combination of both ideas).

The Birds have already announced roster additions. We know who they’ve allowed to walk and explore free agency. The rumor mill is churning like it always is. Let’s get you caught up with a few updates. Buckle up! We have much to discuss.
