Eagles Free Agency: Arrivals, departures, rumors as league year begins
Free-Agency Signings
Haason Reddick – EDGE
- 2021 Team: Arizona Cardinals
- Contract: Three years, $45 million, $30 million guaranteed
We’ve known about this one for a while now. With the addition of Haason Reddick, Philly gets the EDGE star they’ve been missing.
According to Pro Football Focus, the 99 quarterback pressures he’s manufactured over the past two years are tied for 15th among edge rushers, but if he reproduces what he did in Carolina with the Panthers a season ago (68 tackles, 11 sacks, and two forced fumbles, no one will complain after witnessing an oftentimes dormant pass rush by the Birds during the 2021-2022 regular season.
Philadelphia Eagles sign WR Greg Ward and DB Andre Chachere to one-year deals.
The details of both Greg Ward and Andre Chachere‘s one-year deals are uncertain at the moment. You won’t hear many grumblings about either guy getting a one-year audition though.
Ward, despite not having the full support of coaches and leadership, is arguably the third-best wide receiver this team has currently. Chachere gave the team quality snaps in his first season this year and could continue to improve in an expanded role in 2022.
The Eagles announced, in addition to Ward and Chachere’s signing, that they tendered restricted free agent Nate Herbig with a one-year deal as well. Other than that, it’s been pretty quiet in terms of signings from an Eagles perspective.
