The Philadelphia Eagles could add a wide receiver in the NFL Draft (gulp).

We can’t believe we’re saying this, but the Philadelphia Eagles could absolutely draft another wide receiver in the 2022 NFL Draft. Gosh… every time you say it or write it, it sounds horrifying.

The Good Lord in Heaven knows that this is the option that we most fear and don’t want to see materialize, but when the smoke clears and the dust settles, whether we want it to be or not, it is an option. Several mock drafts from some of the more trusted voices that we’ve grown accustomed to hearing from at this time of the year have even mocked wideouts to Philly in Round 1.

One of the names that keeps popping up is the one belonging to Drake London, formerly of the USC Trojans. While the mere mention of Pac-12 wide receivers possibly ending up in Eagles uniforms has a tendency to give Birds fans and some members of the media some weird variation of post-traumatic stress disorder, London is talented. Philly should steer clear though and address other needs early.

If they elect to draft a wideout, mid-to-late-round options will be available. Give guys like David Bell (Purdue), Romeo Doubs (Nevada), Dontario Drummond (Ole Miss), Velus Jones (Tennessee), and Justyn Ross (Clemson) a look when you have some time to do so.
