Eagles first-round NFL mock: Philadelphia adds a pair of playmakers
By Hunter Doyle
Who will become the next Philadelphia Eagles in the 2022 NFL Draft?
Will he even be available? That question has been asked about almost every player we have seen mocked to the Philadelphia Eagles. There is always an element of mystery after the top picks in the first round.
Players rise and fall every year. Sometimes, you’re able to get a first-round talent like Landon Dickerson on Day 2 or a player like Justin Jefferson might fall into your lap at 22nd overall if you’re the Minnesota Vikings.
On a serious note, we really won’t know until April 28th. This draft class is loaded in the middle of the first round which is where all of the Eagles’ three first-round picks happen to be.
For those hoping for a linebacker, the Eagles may grab one at some point and it’s not out of the realm of possibility on Day 1; however, they may feel comfortable with Kyzir White at the WILL, T.J. Edwards at the MIKE, and Haason Reddick at the SAM.
A player like Devin Lloyd is a game-changer who should still be considered though and he isn’t the only name worth looking at. The Eagles could use upgrades at plenty of other positions as well. They may look to address the need for a true 0-shade nose tackle to allow the rest of the interior lineman to move around a little more.
Wide receiver, safety, and edge rusher could all be addressed. The most important position to consider is the one needed that’s represented by the best player available. Let’s not wait any longer and speculate once again.
