Less-mentioned WRs Eagles can target during every round of NFL Draft
Tyquan Thornton and Jaivon Heiligh round out our list of potential Eagles prospects.
Since we’re on the subject of offensive talent, there’s nothing wrong with heading to the Big 12 where the offense is always on display, right? Tyquan Thornton was a huge asset for the Baylor Bears, notching 948 receiving yards on 62 receptions and reaching the end zone ten times.
The Philadephia Eagles currently don’t own a sixth-round draft choice, but if they trade back with one of their fifth-round draft choices or if they trade up out of the seventh round and theories about taking a wide receiver become serious discussions, Thornton will, again, more than likely, be one of the better options that they’ll have to choose from.
They’re playing some ball in Conway, South Carolina huh? Every time you look at the Coastal Chanticleers football program to dissect one potential NFL star, you normally find another.
Recently, we were actually looking at some of their games to evaluate EDGE star, Jeffrey Gunter. Every time that did so, wide receiver Jaivon Heiligh popped off of the screen, so we began studying him.
What we found was a six-foot, 187-pound speedster that plays faster than his 4.45-second 40 time indicates. In his final 13 games at Coastal, he stacked 66 receptions for 1,128 yards, and he reached the end zone seven times, giving him 191 receptions, 2,825 receiving yards, and 22 touchdowns for his four-year, 45-game career. He’d be a nice exclamation point for what we hope winds up being a solid Eagles draft.
