So, what if the Eagles explored a potential market for Jalen Reagor?
Whether fair or unfair, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jalen Reagor will forever be associated with Justin Jefferson, especially in the minds of Birds fans. We don’t really have to discuss the reason why that’s the case, do we?
Then again, just in case you’re one of the five people on Planet Earth who haven’t heard the story, once upon a time, during the 2020 NFL Draft, Philly selected Reagor with the 21st-overall selection. How do we put this nicely? That decision didn’t work out too well.
Jefferson promised that everyone who overlooked him would pay for that error in judgment, and he’s been true to his word. He’s made the Pro Bowl in each of his first two seasons.
He has 196 receptions, 3,016 receiving yards, and 17 touchdowns on his professional resume. Reagor, on the other hand, has managed 64 receptions for 695 yards and three trips to paydirt over that same period.
Birds fans have hoped for a trade for quite some time now. They just didn’t believe there would be any takers. Now, following a report by Geoff Mosher that suggests a market may be in bloom, there’s hope that Philly will finally rid themselves of one of the most disappointing draft choices of the past decade.
What if the Eagles did shop Reagor? Here’s a list of eight teams that could show interest.

The Browns and Chiefs could show some interest in the Eagles WR.
When the 2021 NFL regular season began, the Cleveland Browns had Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham Jr., and Jarvis Landry on their roster. Baker is still in town (for now), but they’ve handed the keys to the franchise over to Deshaun Watson while adding Amari Cooper.
Donovan Peoples-Jones is also on the roster, but if the Browns want to make this a party, they could add a speedster in Reagor. Keep in mind the fact that their general manager, Andrew Berry, is a former Eagles executive who is still close with Howie Roseman.
At the risk of sounding disrespectful, Andy Reid has forgotten more about offensive football than Nick Sirianni currently knows. No one would deny that Patrick Mahomes is a more advanced passer than Jalen Hurts. The Kansas City Chiefs added JuJu Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, but Tyreek Hill is gone.
Andy Reid and Eric Bieniemy would be perfect tutors for Reagor. He and Mecole Hardman would round out the Chiefs’ wide receiver corps quite nicely. The question is this. Is Kansas City even interested?

The Eagles could find willing trade partners for Reagor in Atlanta and Indy.
The Arizona Cardinals traded for Zach Ertz after the first six weeks of the NFL season, and he made his presence felt immediately, scoring a touchdown on a 47-yard catch and run. What’s the point, you ask? It’s quite simple actually.
Right before that happened, the theory was that Ertz was finished. Some say the same about Reagor. Could Jalen experience a career renaissance in the desert as well? Historically, we’ve seen several former Eagles land there (Seth Joyner, Buddy Ryan, Jordan Hicks), and outside of DeAndre Hopkins, the Cards don’t have much in terms of wide receivers now that Christian Kirk is gone.
Julio Jones left during the 2021 offseason. We all know what has happened to Calvin Ridley in terms of his suspension, and with the latter only playing in five games during the 2021 NFL season, the Atlanta Falcons were forced to rely on a rookie, Kyle Pitts, and Cordarrelle Patterson whom they worked to death.
The Falcons could truly use some help on offense. Reagor isn’t the greatest upgrade, but he might be better than a lot of what they have.

Don’t rule out the possibility of a few contenders giving the Eagles a call.
Well, it appears that, after eight years of the Aaron Rodgers/Davante Adams highwire act in Green Bay with the Packers, the Adams half of that duo decided that he had enough. He decided to take his talents to Las Vegas and join the Raiders.
Aaron has Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, and Amari Rodgers to toss the rock to now. That isn’t an awful trio, and truthfully Reagor may not be the game-changer that the reigning MVP is used to throwing to, but you have to figure that Jalen would become a better player by having a better quarterback behind center to get the ball to him.
One of Reagor’s best moments came at Lambeau Field, a punt return for a touchdown. Philly lost that game, unfortunately, but maybe a change of scenery can do some good.
The Tennessee Titans gave up on Julio Jones after a single season, one in which he couldn’t complete the full 17-game slate. They’re seemingly in need of offensive upgrades now, and here’s why.
They have the best running back in the world on their roster (Derrick Henry). They also are home to one of the NFL’s best wide receivers (A.J. Brown). Past Brown, they don’t have much though.
Robert Woods has been added, but he isn’t the player he once was. That leaves them with role players with no real pop like Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Dez Fitzpatrick.
Yep, Titans GM Jon Robinson definitely needs to be on the phone and making phone calls. Hopefully, Howie Roseman will answer if he calls the NovaCare Complex.

Could the Eagles do business with the Colts again or trade Reagor to a familiar foe?
There are all of these connections that can be made between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Indianapolis Colts. The Carson Wentz dynamic is familiar. Indy’s head coach, Frank Reich, as you know, is a former Eagles offensive coordinator.
Philly found their current head coach, Nick Sirianni, on the Colts’ coaching staff. He was their offensive coordinator from 2018 until 2020. We’ve even seen players swap Colts jerseys for Eagles jerseys (Zach Pascal) and vice versa (Rodney McLeod).
These two organizations seem friendly as do their owners and general managers. Could a deal be made involving Jalen Reagor and maybe a Colts player and/or picks?
The goal here wasn’t to make mention of Carson Wentz twice. It truly wasn’t, but now that he’s with the Washington Commanders, he does need some weapons.
Outside of Terry McLaurin and Antonio Gibson, the Washington Commanders don’t have much to hang their hats on offensively, and while it would seem like trading with a rival can be viewed as a bad business practice, we’ve seen it happen before.
The Eagles traded Donovan McNabb to Washington on April 4th of 2010. Who’s to say that they couldn’t deal Reagor? These deals between rivals seem to occur more frequently when the original team seems to think a player doesn’t have much left, and while many believe that Howie still has hope for Reagor’s breakout, for the right price, the Commanders and Eagles could strike a deal.
