The Eagles have shown tons of interest in Jameson Williams and Chris Olave.

For those of you that arrived at the party late, Jameson Williams cut his teeth with the Ohio State Buckeyes before transferring to the Alabama Crimson Tide for the 2021 college football season. How great would that Buckeye receiving corps have been had he stayed? That’s another story for another day, but it is interesting, right?

Williams hung out with the Eagles for a top-30 visit, and that’s intriguing because that allows Philly’s doctors to give him the once over. No one seems to be reporting that there were any issues, so whether accurate or not, we’re going to assume that means there were no issues with the ACL from that.

He remains one of the prospects seen as having the most realistic shot of landing with the Birds. He’s also, along with Chris Olave, arguably one of the top two deep threats in the class.

3. player. 812. . . . Chris Olave, Ohio State

Chris Olave, like Williams, is universally seen as being one of the top five wide receivers in this draft class. Along with being one of the best route-runners that we’ve seen in a while, he can score on any touch.

As mentioned, he’s one of the top deep threats. In 2021, 13 of his 65 receptions were scoring grabs, and in the process, he became Ohio State’s all-time leader in touchdown catches. We place him slightly ahead of Williams for two reasons.

One, when they were on the same team, Olave was higher on the depth chart. Second, Williams is a monster, but that ACL tear was only three months ago.
