The Eagles and Miami have a lot of draft capital for 2023.

The pressure is on Hurts and Tua to deliver this year, as Howie Roseman and Dolphins GM Chris Grier have orchestrated trades to boost their draft capital for next year. Some believe that was done as insurance to allow the possibility of adding a quarterback in the first round.

Philadelphia now owns two first-rounders in 2023’s selection meeting. Hopefully, with a boatload of picks this year and substantial draft capital for next year, Philly can add some offensive firepower to help Jalen take the next step as a quarterback.

If the Eagles deem that they aren’t satisfied with their QB1 of the moment, next year’s first-rounders could help them in finding another solution. Miami lacks the draft capital that the Eagles have, but they have two first-round choices in 2023.

Tua will lineup under center this season with Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Mike Gesicki as options. Miami could have one of the more explosive offenses in the league. They’ll need that in the AFC East. Huts will look to lead his team to a division title in a down NFC East.

Who will prove that they are the long-term answer? Will it be Jalen or Tua? Both appear to be on their way. Then again, they could be on the way out.
