As impossible as it sounds, the Eagles need a near-perfect draft in 2022.

It’s okay to make mistakes. We’re human. It’s going to happen. What’s unacceptable is learning nothing from the mistakes you’ve made. What’s that definition of ‘insanity’ again? Here’s the thing. Everyone has their theories on what they expect from the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2022-2023 NFL season. Much of the feedback on what we’ve seen so far during the current offseason hasn’t been positive, but all hope isn’t lost.

If the Eagles can somehow string together a decent draft class, some of the panic will subside. There’s just one issue. Well, actually there are two of them.

Vice president/general manager Howie Roseman will be leading Philly’s brass in the draft war room again, and more often than not, that hasn’t led to great things happening. Every year, we talk about the same things.

This is the third draft in a row in which we’ve discussed the possibility of the Eagles taking a wide receiver in Round 1, and quite frankly, no one would have complained had Philly taken one in 2019 as well.

Why? It’s simple. They always need wide receivers because they never get the position right. You see what’s going on here right? Insanity!

That’s how long we’ve been in agony, and the blame for that lies at the doorstep of the Eagles’ leadership structure. This roster feels watered down. Hope is dwindling, and even with two picks in the first round, there’s minimal confidence in Howie’s ability to do the right thing and make sound decisions.

We expect him to fail because he often does, and he never seems to learn from his mistakes. Here are three reasons why we believe that to be true.
