13 celebrities who are huge fans of the Philadelphia Eagles
Despite differences in background and cultures, Philadelphia Eagles fans can all agree on a few things.
58 years is a long time. The Philadelphia Eagles‘ Super Bowl win on February 4th of 2018 ended a championship drought that had existed since the time ran out on one last gasp by the Green Bay Packers to put the finishing touches on a final go-ahead drive during the NFL Championship Game on Dec 26th of 1960.
That was a Monday afternoon game at Franklin Field. It’s hard to imagine a championship game not being played on Sunday, but it was a different time back then.
What hasn’t changed, through the ups and downs the Eagles have experienced in the five decades that have followed and the long wait that separated their last two championships is the love the NFL’s most passionate fan base has for its football team.
Win or lose, they haven’t gone anywhere. Their love for the Birds grows with each passing season.
Hang out at any NFL game the Philadelphia Eagles are playing in, whether it be at home or on the road, and you’ll bear witness to a takeover. Philly packs Lincoln Financial Field with ease. They turn the opposing team’s venue into a home away from home.
Their fans hail from different backgrounds and parts of the country. Birds fans exist in every religious sector, economic area, and walk of life. Take the late, great Kobe Bryant for instance.
The Black Mamba, a product of Lower Merion High School, was a lifelong Eagles fan. He even spoke with the 2017-2018 squad before their win in football’s biggest game. Gosh, we wish we had the full audio of that one.
Kobe is one of those famous faces we think of when discussing the massive contingent that loves its Birds. How about a baker’s dozen? Here are 12 more celebrities who have excelled in their respective fields while still maintaining the same love for this team that every single one of us can identify with.
