The Philadelphia Eagles‘ Super Bowl win on February 4th of 2018 ended a championship drought that had existed since the time ran out on one last gasp by the Green Bay Packers to put the finishing touches on a final go-ahead drive during the NFL Championship Game on Dec 26th of 1960.

That was a Monday afternoon game at Franklin Field. It’s hard to imagine a championship game not being played on Sunday, but it was a different time back then.

What hasn’t changed, through the ups and downs the Eagles have experienced in the five decades that have followed and the long wait that separated their last two championships is the love the NFL’s most passionate fan base has for its football team.
